Announcement: The Baby Show comes to South Africa

The Baby Show comes to South Africa – Destined to be South Africa’s market-leading pregnancy, baby and parenting event of the year.

The UK’s number one parenting event brand, The Baby Show & #MeetUp, will launch at the prestigious and elegant Kyalami International Convention Centre in Gauteng, to be held 28 to 30 September 2018.

In collaboration with leading industry expert, Meg Faure, and announcing a headline sponsorship with Pampers, this market-leading live event platform will provide dedicated seminars, features and world-class facilities aimed at parents-to-be, and parents with children aged 0-4. In the spirit of modern parenting, the extended family and supportive friends are all invited, with the focus being to learn, prepare, test and try together before you buy – “Everything you need for bump, baby and you”

“A tried and tested model running for 16 years, The Baby Show UK serves over 70,000 families annually, mainly first time parents who have a necessity to seek out essential products and services alongside leading experts, in an environment that is hassle free, baby friendly and empathetic to ensure a great family day out for all involved” said Nicole Muller, Portfolio Director for Clarion Events. “We are looking forward to offering the same life changing experience to new and expectant parents here in South Africa,” she continues. “We are delighted to be joining forces in our inaugural year with SA’s No 1 baby expert Meg Faure, and working at a headline level with the world’s leading baby brand, Pampers.”

“Pampers remains committed to the happy and healthy development of all South African babies. We are very happy to a part of The Baby Show which is packed with unique content and features for all mums and babies” said Michael Simpson, Brand Manager, Pampers. “This platform gives us an additional opportunity to showcase the superior quality and benefits of our Pampers nappies as the No. 1 Choice of Paediatricians in South Africa. We’re also excited to be lead partners in bringing this international showcase to South African shores.”

Since 2001 leading industry expert and author, Meg Faure, has created and hosted the premium parenting brand The Baby Sense Seminars. In 2017 she launched a TedEX style seminar series, aptly named #MeetUp which includes Pregnancy Sense, Baby Sense, Parent Sense and Sleep Sense. All series will be integrated into The Baby Show launch, focusing purely on delivering a unique thought-leadership style format.

“Supporting parents in their journey is the focus of all my work, from books like Baby Sense to seminars and talks,” said Meg Faure. “It has always been a dream to combine my seminars with an interactive and educational exhibition. With great excitement I have joined up with Clarion to bring South African parents The Baby Show and #MeetUP sponsored by Pampers.”

In addition to the event’s title partners, more loved and trusted South African and global brands will be lending their expertise to the weekend’s festivities. Feature, facility and ticket package sponsors already committed alongside Meg Faure, and Pampers include Medela, Colief, Floradix, Old Mutual, Tommee Tippee, Stokke, Bugaboo, BeSafe and Babies R Us, to name just a few.

“Known as the destination for everything to keep baby happy and mom informed, Babies R Us is thrilled to be a part of the internationally recognised Baby Show that takes baby shows to the next level” said Nicole Annells, Babies R Us Marketing Manager. “The alignment allows for a fantastic partnership and we look forward to being part of the success of this inaugural event”.
